Product Information

Proclear® Multifocal contact lenses (6 pack) are the ideal choice for presbyopic patients who experience eye dryness. These monthly contacts feature Balanced Progressive® Technology for clear vision at all distances and PC Technology™ for superior, long-lasting comfort. Together, these features allow you to focus on life, not on your contacts.

Features & Benefits

Proclear Multifocal contacts are monthly disposable lenses designed to address presbyopia — an age-related eye condition that makes nearby objects appear blurry. They are designed to be worn daily for up to 30 days, after which they must be disposed of and replaced with a fresh pair of contacts.

Proclear Multifocal contacts are made with Balanced Progressive Technology, which provides multiple correction zones in each lens that are tailored to your personal prescription. Thanks to this technology, Proclear Multifocal contacts enable you to see clearly at any distance, whether near, far, or intermediate.

Proclear Multifocal contacts also feature CooperVision's proprietary PC Technology. This technology binds water throughout each lens, creating a shield around it to keep it moist and clean. Simply put, PC Technology helps Proclear Multifocal contacts stay hydrated and feel comfortable throughout the day.

On top of that, the Proclear lens material resists deposit buildup that would otherwise cause irritation.

PC Tech uses an advanced molecular structure in the lens material to create a shield of water that promotes hydration and comfort, while allowing sufficient oxygen to the eye.

Who They’re For

Proclear Multifocal contacts are for people with vision problems due to presbyopia, and are looking for contacts with advanced features to ensure superior comfort and exceptional visual acuity.

Proclear Multifocal contacts are also a good choice for presbyopic patients who prefer the convenience of a monthly disposable lens They’re also ideal for presbyopic patients who suffer from dry eyes due to lens wear.

Additionally, Proclear Multifocal contacts are suited for presbyopic patients who want to do away with bulky reading glasses or bifocals. Enjoy superior comfort and exceptional vision all day with Proclear Multifocal contacts from Lens.com.

About Presbyopia

Presbyopia occurs when the lens of the eye begins to harden and lose flexibility as a result of aging. Due to the eye's inability to properly focus, objects appear blurry. People most often begin to notice this shift in their vision sometime around the age of 40. From then until about the age of 65, presbyopia will gradually get worse. Those who think they are exempt due to the fact that they have always had perfect eyesight are likely still out of luck, as presbyopia eventually catches up with practically everyone. When presbyopia shows up, you may notice an inability to focus on reading material up close. Others may experience headaches or eye strain while looking at nearby objects.

How To Put In Proclear Multifocal Lenses

Proclear Multifocal contacts are soft disposable contacts and as such, you should follow the standard procedure for that type of lens. Start by washing your hands with a mild soap, then dry them with a lint-free towel. Scoop your first lens out of the case with your index finger of your dominant hand. Rinse it with a cleaning solution that’s specially formulated for soft contacts. Inspect the lens for any tears or debris, and make sure it’s not inside-out. Using the middle finger of your dominant hand, pull down your lower eyelid. If necessary, use the middle finger of your non-dominant hand to pull your upper eyelid. Stare straight ahead and gently place the lens on your eye. Blink a few times to center the lens. Repeat with the other lens. Don't panic if you see ghost images or doubling of images when you wear multifocal contacts for the first time. This is part of the adaptation process, and it should improve after a few weeks of wearing multifocal contacts.

Proclear Multifocal FAQs

Can I wear Proclear Multifocal contact lenses if I have both presbyopia and dry eyes?
Absolutely! Proclear Multifocal contact lenses are made with PC Technology, which attracts and retains moisture on the lens surface. It also features Balanced Progressive Technology which provides multiple correction zones in each lens in order to correct presbyopia.

How many boxes of Proclear Multifocal do I need to buy to last 6 months, or 12 months?

You need 1 box(es) of Proclear Multifocal contacts to last you for 6 months. In order to last you for 12 months, you'll need 2 box(es). These amounts pertain to a single eye, so to cover both eyes, double these amounts.

Can you take a nap in Proclear Multifocal contacts?

No, you cannot nap in Proclear Multifocal lenses. As Proclear Multifocal are not approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not advisable either, and it can lead to eye-health complications. Napping for any length of time with contacts not designed for such an environment is risky. Choose a lens that is approved for overnight wear and seek guidance from your ECP if this is a requirement for you.

Where can I buy Proclear Multifocal contacts at the best price?

Proclear Multifocal contact lenses are available at the best price online, vs from a brick-and-motor store. When buying these contacts in-store or from a doctor's office, additional costs that come from higher overhead and lower volume of sales may play a part in having to pay more as a customer. On the other hand, online retailers benefit from lower costs and greater reach (greater sales volume, lower prices). At Lens.com Proclear Multifocal contacts can be purchased for $68.89, after rebates. These prices are designed to be some of the lowest prices you'll find anywhere, either in-store or online.

What Proclear Multifocal rebates are available?

Proclear Multifocal contacts are regularly eligible for rebates exclusively on Lens.com. With Lens.com you can qualify for rebates with as few as an order of 4 and sometimes 8 boxes, unlike the 12 or more minimum purchase that's often required at other retailers. Refer to our regularly updated rebate pages or contact lens product pages to see how much the rebate amount is. Rebate offers change from time to time.

Are Proclear Multifocal contacts, monthly?

Yes, Proclear Multifocal contacts are monthly disposable contacts. They are meant to be worn daily for 30 days, removed, cleaned and stored at night, and disposed of after 30 days to be replaced with a fresh set.

Can I be allergic to Proclear Multifocal contacts?

Contacts, like Proclear Multifocal are made of hypoallergenic materials, meaning the contacts themselves don't usually cause an allergic reaction. In most cases, what causes an allergic reaction is a buildup of contaminants on the contacts. If you experience redness, watering, and other symptoms of a possible allergic reaction, remove your contacts immediately and consult your ECP.

Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

Who makes Proclear Multifocal contacts?

Proclear Multifocal contacts are made by CooperVision, and sold on Lens.com.

What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Proclear Multifocal contacts?

Yes, you can still order Proclear Multifocal if you don't have a hard copy of your RX/prescription on hand. As long as you have a valid contact lens prescription (which will be on file at your ECP's) you can still place an order with us at Lens.com. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Proclear Multifocal contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Proclear Multifocal lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Proclear Multifocal contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

How old do you have to be to wear Proclear Multifocal contact lenses?

Like most contacts, including Proclear Multifocal, they can be worn by teens and potentially pre-teens as well, per the direction of an ECP. In general, there is no fixed minimum age for wearing contacts, as it's a judgment call based on lifestyle habits, budget, and of course your ECP's guidance. Contacts do require care and consistency in usage and maintenance/cleaning and these are the lifestyle factors you should consider when thinking about contacts for a child.

You can check the status of your Proclear Multifocal rebate by going to the Rebate Center in your account, located in the Customer Service menu. If you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Service Department via phone (1-800 LENS.COM, 24/7) or Live Chat.

What is the water content of Proclear Multifocal?

Proclear Multifocal contacts have a water content of 62%. The higher the water content in a contact lens, the more oxygen reaches the cornea during lens wear. There are other factors at play however so water content alone isn't enough of a factor to judge a lens' performance for a given person. High water content lenses can feel comfortable initially but may dry out over time, but this is not always the case. So it's good to know about the water content of a lens, but it's not everything. Consult your ECP to find out the best options for you.

What are Proclear Multifocal contacts made of?

Proclear Multifocal lenses are made from Hydrogel, using a specific formulation developed by CooperVision. They have a water content of 62%, and a Multifocal lens design.

Where can I buy Proclear Multifocal contacts near me?

Proclear Multifocal contacts are typically available to purchase at your nearest brick-and-mortar eyewear store or ECP's office. However, the lowest prices and largest inventory of these lenses can be found online, such as at Lens.com, where greater volumes and lower overhead can translate into significant savings over store-bought contacts.

What are Proclear Multifocal contacts?

Proclear Multifocal are Bifocal Lenses contact lenses. They are made of Hydrogel and are manufactured by CooperVision.

How should I store my Proclear Multifocal contact lenses?

Daily disposable contacts cannot be stored and must be discarded at the end of each day. Even if you wear them for only a few hours one day, you still need to discard them after that use and wear a fresh pair of contacts the next day.

You may keep weekly contacts in multi-purpose contact solution in a tightly closed contact lens case for up to 2 weeks.

For monthly replacement lenses you may store them in contact solution in a tightly closed contact lens case for up to 30 days.

Do Proclear Multifocal lenses have UV protection?

No, Proclear Multifocal contacts do not have UV protection. If you are looking for contacts with this feature, check out other lenses sold on Lens.com where the feature is specifically provided on each product page.

Is Proclear Multifocal discontinued?

No, Proclear Multifocal contacts have not been discontinued by CooperVision. They continue to be produced, marketed, and sold on Lens.com. Typically, if a contact lens ceases to be produced by the manufacturer, we will indicate it clearly on our product page as being a discontinued lens and it won't be an option to purchase them.

Proclear Multifocal contacts are indicated as No to having an inside-out mark. Generally, if there is a marking, to view it, place the lens on your fingertip. Hold it up to bright light and look at the outside surface of the lens from the side. If it does not have such a marking, there are other methods to judge if your lens is positioned inside or out. Click here to read more.

Do I need a prescription, or a copy of my prescription in order to buy Proclear Multifocal?

Yes, you do require a valid prescription in order to buy Proclear Multifocal or any contacts in the United States, per Federal Law. However, at Lens.com having a copy of your prescription in your possession is not required to place an order (though be aware it's something that is owed to you by your ECP once you complete an eye examination so that you can choose where to purchase your contacts). If you don't have a copy in your possession, Lens.com representatives will help verifying your prescription by calling your ECP for you. Provide us with the basic information, sit back, and relax.

What are Proclear Multifocal lenses best for?

Proclear Multifocal lenses are designed to address presbyopia, a condition that comes with age in which due to a loss in elasticity of the lens, the eye has trouble focusing on nearby objects. With this lens' unique combination of both spherical and aspheric optics, it's able to account for presbyopia and the fact that wearers tend to have a dominant and non-dominant eye.

How do Proclear Multifocal lenses work?

Proclear Multifocal featuring the brand's Balanced ProgressiveT Technology, which combines spherical and aspheric optics and unique zone sizes to produce a "D" lens for the dominant eye and an "N" lens for the non-dominant eye. Most contacts are either one or the other type, but with their approach you get the sharpest, most personalized vision correction that's tailored to your eyes.

How long can you wear Proclear Multifocal contacts?

Proclear Multifocal are monthly contacts, and so are good for 30 days before you dispose of them. You must remove, clean, and store them at the end of each day.

Mid & Up close focus

I use the multifocal for my right eye as mid range and up close vision. This allows me to read a range of sizes in day to day & computer work. I’m pleased I can wear contacts at 65. It makes bike riding and walking more enjoyable and I can just add shades and move on.
