Product Information

Enjoy clear vision, long-lasting comfort, and superior fit with Paragon HDS contact lenses. Made by Paragon Vision Sciences, a leader in premium orthokeratology, Paragon HDS contacts are ideal for special eye needs.

The price above includes the standard sphere lens only. Additional charges may apply if your prescription calls for specific parameters, including (but not limited to) bifocal, anterior toric, and posterior toric designs.

Features & Benefits

Paragon HDS contacts are rigid gas-permeable lenses that can be worn daily for up to a year before they need to be replaced. Due to this infrequent replacement schedule, RGP lenses like Paragon HDS contacts are less expensive than soft lenses in the long run. Just be sure to clean and store them properly every night.

As an RGP lens, Paragon HDS is custom-made to ensure an optimal fit. Properly fitting contacts are less likely to rotate or move around in the eye during wear. Because Paragon HDS contacts are custom-made for each wearer, they can correct nearly every refractive error, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, presbyopia, and astigmatism.

Another great thing about Paragon HDS contacts is the level of comfort they offer. Paragon HDS contacts are made of paflufocon B — a premium material that allows oxygen to reach the eye to keep it white and healthy. Paragon HDS contacts are also comfortable to wear because they’re naturally resistant to deposit buildup.

Additionally, Paragon HDS contacts feature a visibility tint for easier handling. The tint, which won’t affect your natural eye color, is available in blue, crystal blue, green, and forest green.

Who They’re For

RGP lenses can take some time to get used to, so Paragon HDS contacts are suitable for people who are willing to go through a period of adaptation to contact lens wear.

Paragon HDS contacts are also a great option for people with refractive errors for whom soft contacts don't produce the desired visual acuity.

Additionally, RGP lenses like Paragon HDS contacts are great for people who need vision correction due to keratoconus and other irregular corneal conditions.

How to Put In Paragon HDS Contacts

Paragon HDS contacts are RGP lenses and as such, you should follow the standard procedure for this type of lens. Wash and dry your hands before touching the contacts or your eyes. Scoop your first lens out of the case with the index finger of your dominant hand and rinse it with a multipurpose cleaning solution recommended by your eye care professional (ECP). Inspect the lens for any tears or debris. Hold your eyelid open, stare straight ahead, and gently place the lens on your eye. Blink a few times to center the lens. Repeat for the other lens. Don’t panic if the lens doesn't feel comfortable immediately. RGP lenses typically take longer to get used to wearing than soft lenses, but regular use is key for comfort.

Paragon HDS FAQs

How many boxes of Paragon HDS do I need to buy to last 6 months, or 12 months?

You need 1 box(es) of Paragon HDS contacts to last you for 6 months. In order to last you for 12 months, you'll need 1 box(es). These amounts pertain to a single eye, so to cover both eyes, double these amounts.

Can you take a nap in Paragon HDS contacts?

No, you cannot nap in Paragon HDS lenses. As Paragon HDS are not approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not advisable either, and it can lead to eye-health complications. Napping for any length of time with contacts not designed for such an environment is risky. Choose a lens that is approved for overnight wear and seek guidance from your ECP if this is a requirement for you.

Is ordering Paragon HDS contact lenses online safe?

Yes, all contact lenses, including Paragon HDS ordered from Lens.com are FDA-approved, genuine lenses manufactured by top contact lens brands such as Bausch + Lomb and Alcon, and backed by a money-back guarantee. Order and fulfillment processes adhere to mandates set by US federal law, including the requirement to verify valid prescriptions, without exception. We go above and beyond, by making the experience efficient, easy, and pleasant with 24/7/365 customer service and a money-back guarantee.

Can I buy Paragon HDS for someone else?

Yes, you can buy Paragon HDS contacts online for someone else, for example a child or someone you're assisting with making a purchase. The same simple steps apply. At Lens.com you'll only need to know what contacts you want, their prescription, the contact info of the person's ECP (for prescription verification), and a credit card. We'll do the rest!

How long does it take to adjust to wearing Paragon HDS contacts?

If you're wearing Paragon HDS for the first time, it can take several days to a couple of weeks for you to adjust to wearing them on a daily basis. Contacts vary from brand to brand in terms of their shape, material, breathability, wetting agents used, and other factors, thus requiring an adjustment period. Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Paragon HDS contacts?

Yes, you can still order Paragon HDS if you don't have a hard copy of your RX/prescription on hand. As long as you have a valid contact lens prescription (which will be on file at your ECP's) you can still place an order with us at Lens.com. Choose your lens, provide us with the contact info of your ECP and we'll do the rest. If your ECP is unable to respond to our request for the info needed in a timely manner, your lenses will automatically be shipped out to you. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Paragon HDS contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Paragon HDS lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Paragon HDS contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

Is Paragon HDS contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Paragon HDS is FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates all contact lenses as prescription medical devices and thus must go through an approval process, after which they can be legally sold in the US (if approved). Lens.com sells only FDA-approved contact lenses. From lenses to address near, farsightedness, astigmatism, and even cosmetic lenses, our inventory consists only of FDA-approved contacts.

Are Paragon HDS sold on Lens.com authentic? Why is it cheaper than other vendors?

Yes, all contacts sold on Lens.com are 100% authentic, including Paragon HDS and come with a money-back guarantee. Lens.com is able to sell contacts extremely competitively by buying and selling in volume, by smartly managing costs and overhead, and by accepting smaller but fairer profit margins versus other e-tailers and ECPs in exchange for building a satisfied customer base. We stand by our product and offer 24/7 live-customer support.

How old do you have to be to wear Paragon HDS contact lenses?

Like most contacts, including Paragon HDS, they can be worn by teens and potentially pre-teens as well, per the direction of an ECP. In general, there is no fixed minimum age for wearing contacts, as it's a judgment call based on lifestyle habits, budget, and of course your ECP's guidance. Contacts do require care and consistency in usage and maintenance/cleaning and these are the lifestyle factors you should consider when thinking about contacts for a child.

Are Paragon HDS contacts tinted (aka ‘handling tint’), for improved visibility?

No, Paragon HDS lenses do not include a tint for cleaning and handling purposes.

Where can I buy Paragon HDS contacts?

Paragon HDS lenses are available to purchase at online retailers, some brick-and-mortar stores, and eye care professionals near you. The lowest prices and largest selections can typically be found online where retailers can take advantage of high volume and lower costs which can benefit customers. Lens.com offers exclusive rebate/rewards savings.

Are Paragon HDS contacts, monthly?

Yes, Paragon HDS contacts are monthly disposable contacts. They are meant to be worn daily for 30 days, removed, cleaned and stored at night, and disposed of after 30 days to be replaced with a fresh set.

How do I read my Paragon HDS prescription?

There are values for power, base curve, diameter, and other parameters, some of which you'll need to specify when ordering contacts. Click here, to see further info on how to read your Paragon HDS contact lens prescription.

We can contact your eye doctor to confirm your prescription on your behalf. If you have a physical copy of your prescription, great, then we won't need to contact your eye doctor. it's very simple, and if you have any difficulties, our friendly Customer Service Representatives are here to help. These steps are based on rules laid out by federal policy to protect consumer rights and we take full advantage of them to ensure an easy and timely experience for you.

Are online Paragon HDS contact lenses the same as from your eye doctor?

Yes, generally, Paragon HDS contacts purchased online are the exact same lenses you purchase in a store or a doctor's office. The guarantee that this will be the case of course varies based on where online you make your purchase. At Lens.com, all contacts are authentic, FDA-approved, and the same as you might purchase from your ECP but at a discounted price, thanks to our lower cost and better volumes.

How to tell if my Paragon HDS contacts are inside out?

You will know Paragon HDS contacts are inside-out if they feel uncomfortable in your eye. An inside-out contact lens will also move too much when you blink, and they may even pop out. Some contacts feature an inside-out mark that can be checked once removed, but this is not the case with all lenses.

Can I be allergic to Paragon HDS contacts?

Contacts, like Paragon HDS are made of hypoallergenic materials, meaning the contacts themselves don't usually cause an allergic reaction. In most cases, what causes an allergic reaction is a buildup of contaminants on the contacts. If you experience redness, watering, and other symptoms of a possible allergic reaction, remove your contacts immediately and consult your ECP.

Who makes Paragon HDS contacts?

Paragon HDS contacts are made by Paragon Vision Sciences, and sold on Lens.com.

Can I renew my Paragon HDS RX/prescription online?

Yes, you can renew your prescription of Paragon HDS lenses online. At Lens.com. we need only your previous prescription to begin the quick process of renewing your prescription online, and it takes only 10 minutes. Of course, this service is only available in the 37 states which are not under the thumb of the American Optometric Association. Check here to see if you live in a privileged state.

Where can I buy Paragon HDS contacts near me?

Paragon HDS contacts are typically available to purchase at your nearest brick-and-mortar eyewear store or ECP's office. However, the lowest prices and largest inventory of these lenses can be found online, such as at Lens.com, where greater volumes and lower overhead can translate into significant savings over store-bought contacts.

Can Paragon HDS contacts expire?

Like all contact lenses, Paragon HDS lenses do expire. The expiration date will be stamped on the box itself or on the aluminum fold of the blister pack in either a YYYY-MM or YYYY-MM-DD format. Typically, the expiration date for contacts is several years after the date of packaging.

What is the water content of Paragon HDS?

Paragon HDS contacts have a water content of 0%. The higher the water content in a contact lens, the more oxygen reaches the cornea during lens wear. There are other factors at play however so water content alone isn't enough of a factor to judge a lens' performance for a given person. High water content lenses can feel comfortable initially but may dry out over time, but this is not always the case. So it's good to know about the water content of a lens, but it's not everything. Consult your ECP to find out the best options for you.

How should I store my Paragon HDS contact lenses?

Daily disposable contacts cannot be stored and must be discarded at the end of each day. Even if you wear them for only a few hours one day, you still need to discard them after that use and wear a fresh pair of contacts the next day.

You may keep weekly contacts in multi-purpose contact solution in a tightly closed contact lens case for up to 2 weeks.

For monthly replacement lenses you may store them in contact solution in a tightly closed contact lens case for up to 30 days.

Is Paragon HDS discontinued?

No, Paragon HDS contacts have not been discontinued by Paragon Vision Sciences. They continue to be produced, marketed, and sold on Lens.com. Typically, if a contact lens ceases to be produced by the manufacturer, we will indicate it clearly on our product page as being a discontinued lens and it won't be an option to purchase them.

Do I need a prescription, or a copy of my prescription in order to buy Paragon HDS?

Yes, you do require a valid prescription in order to buy Paragon HDS or any contacts in the United States, per Federal Law. However, at Lens.com having a copy of your prescription in your possession is not required to place an order (though be aware it's something that is owed to you by your ECP once you complete an eye examination so that you can choose where to purchase your contacts). If you don't have a copy in your possession, Lens.com representatives will help verifying your prescription by calling your ECP for you. Provide us with the basic information, sit back, and relax.

Way better than any other contacts

The Paragon HDS is a great contact lens. You can't beat perfect vision and comfort. The lenses are also very easy to put in and take out. I used to wear disposable lenses and it seems like I would at least waste one per box by dropping it or folding it or something else stupid. The Paragon HDS is superior in every way.
