Product Information

FluoroPerm® 92 contacts are rigid gas-permeable (RGP) lenses for daily and extended wear. Ideal for special eye needs, FluoroPerm 92 contacts can be made in a wide range of parameters.

Features & Benefits

FluoroPerm 92 contacts are made of a durable GP material called paflufocon A. As such, these lenses can be worn daily for up to a year before they need to be replaced. FluoroPerm 92 contacts can also be worn continuously for up to seven days between removals.

Like most RGP lenses, each pair of FluoroPerm 92 is custom-made for each wearer to ensure a perfect fit. Proper fit is key to greater eye comfort during lens wear.

FluoroPerm 92 contacts are also made comfortable by their high oxygen permeability. This means they allow plenty of oxygen to pass through the lens so that the eyes can breathe. Moreover, FluoroPerm 92 contacts have almost zero water content, which is why they naturally resist irritating surface deposit buildup.

FluoroPerm 92 contacts are available as lathe cut or molded firm lenses with spherical, aspheric, bifocal or toric front and back designs.

Who They’re For

Fluoroperm 92 contacts are ideal for spectacle wearers who don’t mind going through a period of adaption to contact lens wear. Fluoroperm 92 contacts are also solid candidates for lens wearers with high levels of astigmatism or other refractive errors.

How to Put In Fluoroperm 92 Contacts

Fluoroperm 92 contacts are RGP lenses and as such, you should follow the standard procedure for this type of lens. Wash and dry your hands before touching the contacts or your eyes. Scoop your first lens out of the case with the index finger of your dominant hand and rinse it with a multipurpose cleaning solution designed for RGP lenses. Hold your eyelid open, stare straight ahead, and gently place the lens on your eye. Repeat for the other lens.

Fluoroperm 92 FAQs

Can I be allergic to Fluoroperm 92 contacts?

Contacts, like Fluoroperm 92 are made of hypoallergenic materials, meaning the contacts themselves don't usually cause an allergic reaction. In most cases, what causes an allergic reaction is a buildup of contaminants on the contacts. If you experience redness, watering, and other symptoms of a possible allergic reaction, remove your contacts immediately and consult your ECP.

Is ordering Fluoroperm 92 contact lenses online safe?

Yes, all contact lenses, including Fluoroperm 92 ordered from Lens.com are FDA-approved, genuine lenses manufactured by top contact lens brands such as Bausch + Lomb and Alcon, and backed by a money-back guarantee. Order and fulfillment processes adhere to mandates set by US federal law, including the requirement to verify valid prescriptions, without exception. We go above and beyond, by making the experience efficient, easy, and pleasant with 24/7/365 customer service and a money-back guarantee.

How to tell if my Fluoroperm 92 contacts are inside out?

You will know Fluoroperm 92 contacts are inside-out if they feel uncomfortable in your eye. An inside-out contact lens will also move too much when you blink, and they may even pop out. Some contacts feature an inside-out mark that can be checked once removed, but this is not the case with all lenses.

How long does it take to adjust to wearing Fluoroperm 92 contacts?

If you're wearing Fluoroperm 92 for the first time, it can take several days to a couple of weeks for you to adjust to wearing them on a daily basis. Contacts vary from brand to brand in terms of their shape, material, breathability, wetting agents used, and other factors, thus requiring an adjustment period. Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Fluoroperm 92 contacts?

Yes, you can still order Fluoroperm 92 if you don't have a hard copy of your RX/prescription on hand. As long as you have a valid contact lens prescription (which will be on file at your ECP's) you can still place an order with us at Lens.com. Choose your lens, provide us with the contact info of your ECP and we'll do the rest. If your ECP is unable to respond to our request for the info needed in a timely manner, your lenses will automatically be shipped out to you. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Fluoroperm 92 contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Fluoroperm 92 lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Fluoroperm 92 contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

Is Fluoroperm 92 contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Fluoroperm 92 is FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates all contact lenses as prescription medical devices and thus must go through an approval process, after which they can be legally sold in the US (if approved). Fluoroperm 92 lenses have freed me from glasses

I had bad vision ever since I was little. I was that kid in pre school who wore thick glasses. For a long time I did not think it was possible for me to get contact lenses because of my very complicated prescription and the difference between powers in my eyes. Finally my doctor prescribed these phenomenal lenses and freed me from my coke bottle glasses. These lenses are amazingly comfortable and my vision is better than it ever was. I am a very happy customer.

I recommend the Fluoroperm 92

I switched to the Fluoroperm 92 contact lenses from monthly disposable and I would recommend doing the same. I switched to get a custom made lens and I was surprised by how comfortable it is. When I first wore the lens it was almost too breathable but my eyes eventually got used to them and a contact lens has never felt more comfortable. The Fluoroperm 92 is worth trying out.
