Product Information

Make eye dryness a thing of the past with Extreme H2O Monthly contact lenses. The only monthly disposable lens made with hioxifilcon D, Extreme H2O Monthly contacts retain 97% of their water content so your eyes stay moist and comfortable.

Features & Benefits

As the name implies, Extreme H2O Monthly contacts are monthly disposable contacts. They can be worn daily for up to 30 days before they need to be replaced with a fresh pair of contacts.

Extreme H2O Monthly contacts are very hydrating because they’re made of hioxifilcon D, the third-generation “Benz G-Material.” Hioxifilcon D is made from a glycerin derivative with unique water-binding properties. As such, it hydrates quickly when combined with water. It is also biocompatible with the human eye, which means it works in harmony with the eye tissue to keep it moist all day. These characteristics make hioxifilcon D an excellent material for contacts, particularly contacts that are made for people who experience dryness during lens wear.

Convenience is another benefit of Extreme H2O Monthly contacts. Packaged for either a semi-annual or annual supply, these contacts are designed to make the process of buying and replacing your contacts fast and easy.

Who They’re For

Hydrating contacts like Extreme H2O Monthly are ideal for people with sensitive eyes and those who experience dryness during lens wear.

Extreme H2O Monthly contacts are also a great choice for people who prefer the convenience of monthlies over dailies or weeklies as well as anyone who is looking to upgrade to premium contacts without paying a premium price.

For contacts that stay comfortable all day and won't break the bank each month, try Extreme H2O Monthly contacts. Order yours from Lens.com today!

Extreme H2O Monthly FAQs

Can you take a nap in Extreme H2O Monthly contacts?

No, you cannot nap in Extreme H2O Monthly lenses. As Extreme H2O Monthly are not approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not advisable either, and it can lead to eye-health complications. Napping for any length of time with contacts not designed for such an environment is risky. Choose a lens that is approved for overnight wear and seek guidance from your ECP if this is a requirement for you.

How many boxes of Extreme H2O Monthly do I need to buy to last 6 months, or 12 months?

You need 1 box(es) of Extreme H2O Monthly contacts to last you for 6 months. In order to last you for 12 months, you'll need 2 box(es). These amounts pertain to a single eye, so to cover both eyes, double these amounts.

Where can I buy Extreme H2O Monthly contacts at the best price?

Extreme H2O Monthly contact lenses are available at the best price online, vs from a brick-and-motor store. When buying these contacts in-store or from a doctor's office, additional costs that come from higher overhead and lower volume of sales may play a part in having to pay more as a customer. On the other hand, online retailers benefit from lower costs and greater reach (greater sales volume, lower prices). At Lens.com Extreme H2O Monthly contacts can be purchased for $37.39, after rebates. These prices are designed to be some of the lowest prices you'll find anywhere, either in-store or online.

Is ordering Extreme H2O Monthly contact lenses online safe?

Yes, all contact lenses, including Extreme H2O Monthly ordered from Lens.com are FDA-approved, genuine lenses manufactured by top contact lens brands such as Bausch + Lomb and Alcon, and backed by a money-back guarantee. Order and fulfillment processes adhere to mandates set by US federal law, including the requirement to verify valid prescriptions, without exception. We go above and beyond, by making the experience efficient, easy, and pleasant with 24/7/365 customer service and a money-back guarantee.

How long does it take to adjust to wearing Extreme H2O Monthly contacts?

If you're wearing Extreme H2O Monthly for the first time, it can take several days to a couple of weeks for you to adjust to wearing them on a daily basis. Contacts vary from brand to brand in terms of their shape, material, breathability, wetting agents used, and other factors, thus requiring an adjustment period. Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Extreme H2O Monthly contacts?

Yes, you can still order Extreme H2O Monthly if you don't have a hard copy of your RX/prescription on hand. As long as you have a valid contact lens prescription (which will be on file at your ECP's) you can still place an order with us at Lens.com. Choose your lens, provide us with the contact info of your ECP and we'll do the rest. If your ECP is unable to respond to our request for the info needed in a timely manner, your lenses will automatically be shipped out to you. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Extreme H2O Monthly contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Extreme H2O Monthly lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Extreme H2O Monthly contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

Is Extreme H2O Monthly contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Extreme H2O Monthly is FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates all contact lenses as prescription medical devices and thus must go through an approval process, after which they can be legally sold in the US (if approved). Lens.com sells only FDA-approved contact lenses. From lenses to address near, farsightedness, astigmatism, and even cosmetic lenses, our inventory consists only of FDA-approved contacts.

What is a year's supply of Extreme H2O Monthly?

How old do you have to be to wear Extreme H2O Monthly contact lenses?

Like most contacts, including Extreme H2O Monthly, they can be worn by teens and potentially pre-teens as well, per the direction of an ECP. In general, there is no fixed minimum age for wearing contacts, as it's a judgment call based on lifestyle habits, budget, and of course your ECP's guidance. How to tell if my Extreme H2O Monthly contacts are inside out?

You will know Extreme H2O Monthly contacts are inside-out if they feel uncomfortable in your eye. An inside-out contact lens will also move too much when you blink, and they may even pop out. What is the water content of Extreme H2O Monthly?

Extreme H2O Monthly contacts have a water content of 54%. The higher the water content in a contact lens, the more oxygen reaches the cornea during lens wear. There are other factors at play however so water content alone isn't enough of a factor to judge a lens' performance for a given person. High water content lenses can feel comfortable initially but may dry out over time, but this is not always the case. So it's good to know about the water content of a lens, but it's not everything. Consult your ECP to find out the best options for you.

How should I store my Extreme H2O Monthly contact lenses?

Love these contacts

I've worn soft contacts for 20+ years. A few years ago the contacts I was wearing started getting too dry, sticking to my eyes. After struggling with that issue for a year and trying several different brands of contacts, my optometrist finally recommended these. Problem solved! I've worn them two years now with no problems.
