Product Information

Air Optix® AQUA contact lenses (6 pack) are made to keep your eyes clear, moist, and comfortable for up to one month. An incredibly breathable lens, Air Optix AQUA allows up to five times more oxygen to reach your eyes compared to other popular contact lens brands. These monthly disposable lenses also resist deposit buildup to keep your vision clear. For contacts that stay fresh and comfortable from day 1 to 30, choose Air Optix AQUA.

Features & Benefits

Air Optix AQUA contacts are monthly disposable lenses, which means they can be worn daily for up to 30 days before they need to be replaced. Simply remove and clean them before you go to sleep, re-insert them in the morning, and discard them at the end of the month. Air Optix AQUA can also be worn continuously for up to 6 nights and 7 days. But if your eye care professional recommends a different wearing schedule, it's best to follow their guidance.

Air Optix AQUA contacts feature SmartShield® Technology, which creates an ultra-thin protective layer to help shield the lenses from irritating deposits. This technology also keeps the lens surface hydrated to give you clear, comfortable vision. Air Optix AQUA contacts also feature TriComfort™ Technology, which lets the lenses breathe and retain moisture from breakfast to bedtime to ensure a comfortable lens-wearing experience all month.

These lenses are also made of a highly breathable silicone hydrogel material (lotrafilcon B) that allows nourishing oxygen to flow through the lens for white, healthy-looking eyes.

Additionally, Air Optix AQUA contacts feature an ultra-smooth surface designed to resist deposit buildup for all-day comfort.

Air Optix® AQUA contacts feature a number of advanced technologies to allow the lens to be highly breathable, resistant to deposits, and well-hydrated.

Who They’re For

Air Optix AQUA contacts are for people with sensitive eyes. They’re also ideal for contact lens wearers who experience irritation due to lens dryness.

Air Optix AQUA contacts are also a good choice for people who want to sleep with their contacts without worrying about comfort.

When you’re ready to try them for yourself, be sure to check out the lowest prices on contact lenses at Lens.com.

How To Put In Air Optix AQUA

Air Optix AQUA are soft disposable contacts and as such, you should follow the standard procedure for that type of lens. Start by washing your hands with a mild soap, then dry them with a lint-free towel. Scoop your first lens out of the case with your index finger of your dominant hand. Rinse it with a cleaning solution that’s specially formulated for soft contacts. Inspect the lens for any tears or debris, and make sure it’s not inside-out. Using the middle finger of your dominant hand, pull down your lower eyelid. If necessary, use the middle finger of your non-dominant hand to pull your upper eyelid. Look upward and gently put the lens on your eye. Blink a few times to center the lens. Repeat this with the other lens. If Air Optix AQUA are inserted properly, your eyes should feel comfortable and your vision should be clear.

Air Optix Aqua FAQs

Can you take a nap in Air Optix Aqua contacts?

Yes, you can nap in Air Optix Aqua lenses. As Air Optix Aqua is approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not a problem. As always though, make sure you're OK to do so with your ECP even if they are technically approved as every individual's situation is different. Whether sleeping overnight or napping with contacts, this is an environment that reduces the amount of oxygen that reaches your eye, hence the precautions you need to take in terms of choosing the right lens.

Do I need a prescription, or a copy of my prescription in order to buy Air Optix Aqua?

Yes, you do require a valid prescription in order to buy Air Optix Aqua or any contacts in the United States, per Federal Law. However, at Lens.com having a copy of your prescription in your possession is not required to place an order (though be aware it's something that is owed to you by your ECP once you complete an eye examination so that you can choose where to purchase your contacts). If you don't have a copy in your possession, Lens.com representatives will help verifying your prescription by calling your ECP for you. Provide us with the basic information, sit back, and relax.

What Air Optix Aqua rebates are available?

Air Optix Aqua contacts are regularly eligible for rebates exclusively on Lens.com. With Lens.com you can qualify for rebates with as few as an order of 4 and sometimes 8 boxes, unlike the 12 or more minimum purchase that's often required at other retailers. Refer to our regularly updated rebate pages or contact lens product pages to see how much the rebate amount is. Rebate offers change from time to time.

Where can I buy Air Optix Aqua contacts at the best price?

Air Optix Aqua contact lenses are available at the best price online, vs from a brick-and-motor store. When buying these contacts in-store or from a doctor's office, additional costs that come from higher overhead and lower volume of sales may play a part in having to pay more as a customer. On the other hand, online retailers benefit from lower costs and greater reach (greater sales volume, lower prices). At Lens.com Air Optix Aqua contacts can be purchased for $10.49, after rebates. These prices are designed to be some of the lowest prices you'll find anywhere, either in-store or online.

How do I check the status of my Air Optix Aqua rebates?

You can check the status of your Air Optix Aqua rebate by going to the Rebate Center in your account, located in the Customer Service menu. If you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Service Department via phone (1-800 LENS.COM, 24/7) or Live Chat.

How do I claim my Air Optix Aqua rebate?

In order to redeem your Air Optix Aqua rebate, follow these 3 easy steps: log on to the Lens.com rebate center, print and mail your rebate form, track your rebate status, and get your prepaid Visa card in the mail.

Is ordering Air Optix Aqua contact lenses online safe?

Yes, all contact lenses, including Air Optix Aqua ordered from Lens.com are FDA-approved, genuine lenses manufactured by top contact lens brands such as Bausch + Lomb and Alcon, and backed by a money-back guarantee. Order and fulfillment processes adhere to mandates set by US federal law, including the requirement to verify valid prescriptions, without exception. We go above and beyond, by making the experience efficient, easy, and pleasant with 24/7/365 customer service and a money-back guarantee.

How do I get my Air Optix Aqua rebate?

To get a Air Optix Aqua rebate, make a qualifying purchase from Lens.com. After your order ships, access the Rebate Center to print your contact lens rebate form(s). The mailing address is on the rebate form.

What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Air Optix Aqua contacts?

Yes, you can still order Air Optix Aqua if you don't have a hard copy of your RX/prescription on hand. As long as you have a valid contact lens prescription (which will be on file at your ECP's) you can still place an order with us at Lens.com. Choose your lens, provide us with the contact info of your ECP and we'll do the rest. If your ECP is unable to respond to our request for the info needed in a timely manner, your lenses will automatically be shipped out to you. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

How long does it take to adjust to wearing Air Optix Aqua contacts?

If you're wearing Air Optix Aqua for the first time, it can take several days to a couple of weeks for you to adjust to wearing them on a daily basis. Contacts vary from brand to brand in terms of their shape, material, breathability, wetting agents used, and other factors, thus requiring an adjustment period. Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

What is the difference between Air Optix Aqua vs. Air Optix plus HydraGlyde?
Both Air Optix Aqua and Air Optix plus HydraGlyde are monthly disposable contacts that are FDA-approved for extended wear. Air Optix Aqua contacts use SmartShield and TriComfort Technology to ensure a comfortable lens-wearing experience all month, while Air Optix plus HydraGlyde contacts use SmartShield Technology and HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix to keep eyes moist and clear.
Are Air Optix Aqua contacts good for dry eyes?
Yes, Air Optix Aqua contacts may be good for wearers with dry eyes because they have a low water content (33%). Contacts with a low water content dry less on the eye than contacts with a high water content. Air Optix Aqua contacts may also be good for dry eyes because they feature SmartShield and TriComfort Technology, which provide extra comfort features for wearers.

Is Air Optix Aqua contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Air Optix Aqua is FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates all contact lenses as prescription medical devices and thus must go through an approval process, after which they can be legally sold in the US (if approved). Lens.com sells only FDA-approved contact lenses. From lenses to address near, farsightedness, astigmatism, and even cosmetic lenses, our inventory consists only of FDA-approved contacts.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Air Optix Aqua contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Air Optix Aqua lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Air Optix Aqua contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

How old do you have to be to wear Air Optix Aqua contact lenses?

Like most contacts, including Air Optix Aqua, they can be worn by teens and potentially pre-teens as well, per the direction of an ECP. In general, there is no fixed minimum age for wearing contacts, as it's a judgment call based on lifestyle habits, budget, and of course your ECP's guidance. Contacts do require care and consistency in usage and maintenance/cleaning and these are the lifestyle factors you should consider when thinking about contacts for a child.

Are Air Optix Aqua contacts tinted (aka 'handling tint), for improved visibility?

Yes, Air Optix Aqua lenses include a light tint to make cleaning (when used with solution), handling, and inserting them easier.

At Lens.com you need to purchase only 4 to 8 boxes of contacts (2/4 per eye) in order to qualify for some of the highest-value rebates in the industry.

Are online Air Optix Aqua contact lenses the same as from your eye doctor?

What is the water content of Air Optix Aqua?

Air Optix Aqua contacts have a water content of 33%. The higher the water content in a contact lens, the more oxygen reaches the cornea during lens wear.
